I am Genesis Cranston and I am the proud owner of Munching Raw Enjoyment LLC. I affectionately shorten it to “MRE Coaching”.
The road leading to the conception of MRE Coaching has been long and windy. I became interested in nutritional health when I was in the U.S. Air Force and struggled to maintain my waist measurements for the P.T. tests. As a result of those struggles, I was using all the tricks to make measurements because I was completely confused about food facts and still ignorant of how my hormone imbalances were making things more difficult.
I used energy pills, like Stackers (thankfully banned now), plastic sweat suits, and highly restricted diets, and my self-confidence, which was already low, became nonexistent. I already felt there had to be a better way, but at 23 years old, living overseas and the internet still being the Wild West, it was hard to self-educate. When I left the military for the arrival of my daughter, postpartum depression whooped my butt and depression reigned.
I found the American College of Healthcare Sciences and obtained my Herbal Retail Management Certification. I went back and used the last of my Post 9/11 G.I Bill to receive my B.S. of Holistic Nutritional Consultation with Honors in December 2023.
Now that I’m better educated, my heart breaks for my younger self. I cannot go back in time, but I can strive to help those who are serving our wonderful country now, domestically and abroad. Further, growing up in a limited-income family, I know the struggles of trying to find money for both food and bills. This is why I have built MRE Coaching to cater to these two groups. To ensure all can be healthier, feel better, and be accessible without a one-size-fits-all.
